Twice, they slaughtered the spring lamb for us. A 9-year-old chess prodigy, son of a signer of his country’s Declaration of Independence, checkmated me in four moves. And then there was the Fetească-fueled feast during a total lunar eclipse. It’s all part of my recent discovery of the “Wines of Moldova: Velvet Behind The Iron Curtain“.
